  • Daniel J. Rocha

SOUND HEALER, GAME MASTER & ASTROLOGER

Daniel J. Rocha is a passionate educator and facilitator who brings creativity, healing, and imagination into learning spaces. With over three years of experience as a game master and in his third year volunteering at Starseeds Earth Academy, Daniel specializes in working with children of all abilities through collaborative storytelling and play.

On Fridays at Starseeds, Daniel offers a unique blend of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), sound healing, and astrology to nurture confidence, creativity, and emotional well-being. He integrates mathematics and literacy seamlessly into gameplay (rolling math rocks) and building stories together —so that learning feels natural, joyful, and empowering.

In addition to storytelling, Daniel brings the gentle practice of sound healing into the classroom. Through the use of crystal bowls, chimes, and other resonant instruments, children are invited to both receive calming vibrations that support nervous system regulation and to joyfully experiment with creating sounds themselves. While not a music teacher, Daniel encourages playful exploration of instruments as tools for self-expression, mindfulness, and sensory integration, giving students new ways to connect with themselves and their peers.

At the heart of Daniel’s work lies a commitment to fostering connection, self-expression, and transformation. By weaving imaginative worlds with tools for mindfulness and self-awareness, he creates spaces where children can explore who they are, strengthen their voices, and thrive both in learning and in life.

  • Marcus Thomas

    FOUNDER OF VEROTE

Verote Founder, Marcus Thomas is a husband, and father to two active boys.  Marcus has been deeply connected to kids as far back into childhood as he can remember.  His ability to captivate and entertain a child was as easy as breathing – something he did instinctively and effortlessly.  It wasn’t until the age of 30 that Marcus recognized this ‘natural ability’ as a gift - and another 20 years before he understood this passion of his was connected to his life purpose and that he must transform it into something intentional.  Verote was born.  Unlike him, Marcus wants his boys, and all children, to recognize their gifts early on – and have the awareness and confidence to move into their purpose. Made up of two Italian words “Vero”= True and “te”=you, Verote is to discover your true you through play.  Coach Marcus uses sport, creativity and play to build a child’s health, joy, strength and most importantly confidence.  Confidence that they can then use to advocate for themselves on a journey of self-discovery, and ultimately their purpose.

  • Madison Ryley

    FOUNDER OF YOGAPELLA

Madison has a passion for bringing people together in the name of healing with their own voices. Vibration is the key to unlocking profound physical healing, and connecting to your voice in this way helps to deepen your connection to your truest, most authentic self.

After studying to be an opera singer and receiving a Masters of Music, she quickly realized this was not her path. Instead of shying away from her operatic past, she took her strong foundation and understanding of the voice, and blended it with her passion for yoga, breathwork, and meditation to create her business “Yogapella, Holistic Voice Coaching & The Yoga of Singing” in which she hosts voice healing workshops, retreats and events across Toronto and in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala, where she lived for just under 3 years.

Madison also has over 10 years of Music Teaching Experience, teaching Private Piano & voice lessons through various music schools around Toronto, and through her own private music studio. She also was the co found of “Midtown Music & Yoga Camp” which ran for two very successful seasons in 2018-2019.

Madison has completed many Yoga Teacher Trainings across Canada and India, and has studied various types of meditation (vipassana, mindfulness, yoga nidra, transcendental) as well as having extensive knowledge of the breath, and various forms of breath work that she includes in her workshops (i.e. wim hof, diaphragmatic, ekadasi kriya, pranayam, rebirthing, holotropic & more).

Her workshop and retreat settings explore how mindful meditation, movement, gentle breathing practices, and toning exploration can help unlock blocked energies in the body, transmute past traumas into sound and leave us feeling lighter, more connected and calm.
